Day 3: Preparing to Be the Miracle

God doesn't want us waiting for a financial miracle. He wants us to be prepared to BE one.

Consider Joseph's story in Egypt. God revealed that seven years of plenty would be followed by seven years of famine. But notice that God didn't just supernaturally provide food during the famine years. Instead, He gave Joseph wisdom to prepare during the good years.

The result? When famine struck, Egypt had abundance while surrounding nations suffered. Joseph was positioned to be God's solution for an entire region, including his own family who had once rejected him.

This pattern of preparation and provision runs throughout Scripture. God often works through people who position themselves according to His principles rather than through supernatural interventions that bypass human responsibility.

What if the greatest wealth transfer isn't some mysterious future event but simply the natural outcome of following God's financial principles?

1. Living below our means
2. Maintaining margin
3. Growing in generosity
4. Being ready to help others

Every generation faces economic challenges. The question isn't if these times will come but how we'll be positioned when they do. Will we be stretched thin with debt or maintaining margin? Forced to sell assets or able to help others? Part of the problem or part of God's solution?

Today, commit to positioning yourself not just for your own provision, but to be a channel of God's provision for others. This is the true meaning of stewardship – managing God's resources in such a way that we can participate in His work of provision.

Let's pray:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the wisdom of Your Word that guides us in every area of life, including our finances. Help me to be like Joseph, preparing during seasons of plenty so I can be Your hands and feet during seasons of lack. Give me diligence to maintain margin, wisdom to avoid debt, and a generous heart that's ready to help others. May I stop waiting for a financial miracle and instead position myself to be one for others.
