Have you ever felt like you have been given too much freedom? Maybe a time when you didn’t have an adult home and with this newfound freedom you made some unwise choices.
Freedom is a good thing. Yet, we know that sometimes having unchecked freedom doesn’t help us or others. The freedom that Jesus gives to us doesn’t mean you can do anything you want; it means that there is a way to be free from things that control you, like bad habits, fear, or sin.
Today, think about how sin or fear impacts your freedom. Maybe it is a consistent negative thought you have about yourself or a behavior that you know should stop. What is a good next step to find freedom? It might be talking to your small group leader, putting boundaries up, or stepping into the responsibility that freedom needs.
