You Can!Sample

Have you ever tried to run up the escalator? It’s possible, but exhausting. No matter how fast you move, the escalator keeps pushing back against you.
Life can feel like that when we don’t take time to slow down. It’s like running up an escalator or swimming against a current. This psalm reminds us that we weren’t made to run non-stop. When we realize that we can rest and trust that God will provide, it’s like turning around and letting the escalator take us up the right way. Hard work is important, but when we trust that we don’t have to do it alone, it makes it a lot easier.
Take a few moments of silence today. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Talk to God about what’s been making you feel stressed, and ask for help in finding rest.
