What does it look like to be in step with the Spirit? It’s not about following God’s rules perfectly. If that were the case, none of us would ever be able to do it! Rather, it’s about looking for the evidence of the Holy Spirit at work in the world—the evidence of God’s presence in our lives. That evidence comes out in the way we live. If we’re walking in step with the Spirit, our lives will show it. The fruit of that Spirit—the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—will flow out of our lives naturally. All we have to do? Look for the work of God’s Spirit in our lives!

Pick one of the fruits of the Spirit and look for a chance to practice it this week. Who can you be patient with? How can you provide joy to someone else? Let God’s Spirit lead you this week.
