The Bible for Young Explorers: DeuteronomySample

The mezuzah
The Israelites were told to write God’s truths on the doorframes of their homes. Many copied verses from the Bible and hung them by the door in little boxes. Jewish children touched the box, called a ‘mezuzah’ when they went through the door, as a reminder to live God’s way.
