The Bible for Young Explorers: DeuteronomySample

How come God gets angry and jealous?
When we are jealous, it’s often because we want something that doesn’t belong to us – a phone, a boyfriend, ora sports skill. This kind of jealousy is selfish. But when God gets jealous, it’s because he loves us. Imagine a parent whose child runs away from home and gets hurt. Or imagine a wife who sees her husband flirting with someone else. They would feel jealous because they care. That’s why God gets angry. He’s a loving father who cares about us.
