The Bible for Young Explorers: ExodusSample

Activity
God rescued Israel from slavery and then gave them the Ten Commandments. They show us how to live God’s way so we can thrive. Imagine what life would be like if we all kept them. Try drawing a picture or writing a poem to capture it. Why not memorise the Ten Commandments – one for each finger?
Love your neighbour
The tenth commandment is a bit different. It’s not about what you do or say but what you
want or desire. Keeping God’s laws is more than being seen to do the right thing. It means loving God more than anything or anyone else. Jesus summed up all the Old Testament laws in just two commandments: love God and love your neighbour (check out Matthew 22:39–40). Simple as that.
