Journey With Jesus 365Sample

Why are Biblical truths often difficult to put into practice?
One of the great challenges of the Christian life is the truth that the way up is down and the last are first. Jesus is teaching those at dinner that in God’s economy, those who are exalted are those who walk in humility. Jesus is teaching a chief Pharisee that it is better to let others exalt you than to exalt yourself. Of course, the Pharisees were known for their public displays of self-righteousness. God isn’t interested in people showing off their religion. He teaches us that we should pray in secret, worship in humility, and serve in obscurity.
Why is it so hard to be humble? How can you walk in humility today?
