Journey With Jesus 365Sample

How does Jesus still use believers who have committed public sin?
Peter carried the heaviest burden of all the apostles, having rejected Christ three times at the moment of truth. When the risen Jesus speaks to Peter, he asks him three times whether the apostle loves him. Jesus references the three ways a person can love, and He wants Peter to embrace all three if he is going to be used in the future for the glory of God. Jesus isn’t just offering forgiveness. He is equipping Peter and building him up again so that he can have the strength and faith to turn the world upside down for Jesus.
Have you ever felt like your failures disqualify you from serving God? Be encouraged that Jesus restores and uses those who turn back to Him. If you’ve fallen short, trust in His grace and ask Him to help you step back into your calling with renewed purpose.
