Why is baptism essential for the believer?
Jesus’ baptism reminded all His believers that God commanded us to experience the miracle of His death, burial, and resurrection. But even more importantly, when God’s voice rang from heaven with the words, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased,” every person who witnessed this event realized that Jesus was indeed the Son of God.
Have you taken the step of baptism? If not, consider doing so as a public demonstration of your faith in Jesus. If you are already baptized, reflect on your walk with God and how you can continue living in the newness of life that baptism represents.
