A Year in Luke/ActsSample

Speaking Hebrew has grabbed the attention of the crowd. Rather than going theological with this group, Paul decides to take the personal route. He shares the story of how he went from persecuting followers of “The Way” to becoming a follower himself. Then, as is so often with speeches given in Acts, comes the flash point. Paul mentions how Jesus has commissioned him to go to the Gentiles, but the crowd will hear no more. They go from closely listening, to calling for him to be killed. The tribune is shocked! Why does this man cause such a commotion everywhere he goes?
When is the right time to go theological or personal for us? We must rely on the leading of the Spirit and wisdom to know in each moment how we should share with others. Let’s take time in prayer for this today.
