Christmas Advent: Jesus, ComeSample

Perfect Sacrifice, Come
“Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
—John 1:29
As John the Baptist saw Jesus approaching, he proclaimed these words, forever shaping our understanding of who Jesus is and why He came. For generations, God’s people had awaited the Messiah, longing for salvation. John’s declaration marked the arrival of the One who would fulfil that hope—the Lamb of God, who would offer Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world.
The Old Testament system of animal sacrifices finds its fulfilment in Jesus. His sacrifice on the cross—offered once and for all—accomplished what animal sacrifices never could: the permanent forgiveness of humanity’s sins. His blood cleanses and restores.
As we reflect this Advent, may we pause and reflect on the depth of His love and the completeness of His sacrifice. Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection offer a new beginning for all who believe—an answer to humanity’s deepest longings.
May we wait in awe, knowing that in Jesus, the Lamb of God, we find all we need.
