The Kid: An Advent Devotional for Middle SchoolersSample

Have you ever watched a movie about a superhero, a spy, or someone taking on an important mission? No matter what happens, in the end, they always complete the mission and save the day, right? Similarly, Jesus knew His mission when He came to Earth as the Kid: to bring freedom, healing, and hope to the world. And today, as followers of Jesus, that same mission is now our mission.
In your school, on your team, in your family, on social media, and even in your Small Group, you’re called to share the peace, love, and hope of Jesus with the world around you. In the same way that Jesus changed lives with His message while He was on Earth, we can still change lives by sharing that message with the people in our lives who need it most.
Today, think of someone in your life who could use Jesus’ peace, love, and hope this Christmas. What step can you take to share a little of that message with them this holiday season?

About this Plan

A middle school devotional designed to show students how Jesus’ arrival that very first Christmas changed everything. In this devotional, you’ll discover how Christmas is really about Jesus, the Kid from the middle of nowhere who showed up and changed how we see ourselves, our circumstances, our relationships, and our fears.
