Fear Nothing And No One

PRAY:  Dear God, I have to remember that people are afraid of You because You are SO powerful: You created the world, You teach radical ideas, You change people and You do miracles. Help me to remember that people killed You for being so life-changing. Thank You for trusting me with the same truth that got You killed. Help me not to fear anything or anyone because I believe in the One who takes away all fear! AMEN    

REFLECT:  Are there people in your life who are afraid of God? Remember that Your God is scary to people because He is all-powerful, all-knowing and omni-present. Have you thought that we might be afraid of anything we don't understand? Could you be afraid of someone whom you think is evil because that person is very powerful or influential? Many Christians are afraid of Hollywood and they hate the people there, due to their fear of the influence and power of the media. Jesus shows us that fear is so powerful it can get us to the point of wanting to kill!    

ACT:  Choose one Christian you know who hates Hollywood. Ask them if it could be out of fear. Fear makes us believe lies, and because Hollywood is the world's most influential industry, there are Christians who are afraid of it. Their fear has made them hate a place that they should be praying for. Will you tell that one Christian the truth about the negative power of fear, and that this scripture tells us that nothing, and no one, is too bad for the Lord to redeem.
