God's Redemption Story (The Gospels)Sample

Jesus’ Arrest, Trial, and Crucifixion - Day 10
Thomas Paine, a man who played a large part in encouraging people to action during the American Revolution, once wrote – “Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it.”
Yet, in regard to the greatest freedom, freedom from sin, and the punishment we deserve, we see a different story. God does not expect us to undergo the fatigue of supporting it. In fact, history has shown over and over again that there is no way we can earn our true freedom on our own. A freedom that is not free, yet we are not required to pay any price in obtaining it.
Are you living in the truth that Jesus has paid the price for your freedom or are you still living as if you need to earn it on your own?
