God's Redemption Story (The Gospels)Sample

Jesus’ Arrest, Trial, and Crucifixion - Day 8
Do you think Barabbas ever got it? He had been arrested for insurrection and murder. He was sure he would either die in prison or on a cross. And then one day he was released at the demand of the crowd.
Did he think he was so popular that people wanted him freed? Did he wonder who this Jesus guy was that everyone hated so much? Did anyone ever tell him that while Jesus died in his place, the fact is that Jesus died in my place too? Did he ever invite Jesus into his heart? Will we see him sitting at the Father’s feet when we get to heaven?
We’ll never know if Barabbas ever fully understood what Jesus did that day, but now that we know, let’s share the good news with others.
