God's Redemption Story (The Gospels)Sample

Life & Teachings of Jesus - Day 22
When Jesus told his disciples to get him a donkey, he knew they would object. “Rabbi, you want us to steal a donkey?” So Jesus instructed them to say the Lord needed it. I can hear the grumbling. “Oh, sure, just tell them he needs it and they’ll be ok with me stealing a donkey. Yeah, right!”
When people asked them about the donkey, I imagine the disciples paused, maybe gulped, before the words squeaked out like a question. “The Lord needs it?”
When the people agreed, I wonder if they asked, “Really? That worked?”
We frequently question God’s plans. He gives us instructions or leads us in a certain direction, and we pause. We say we doubt our own strength or wisdom, but we’re actually doubting his strength and wisdom. What is God calling you to do today? Take him at his word and step out in faith.
