Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him (Psalm 18:30).
Have you experienced God’s Word being tried and true?
David writes Psalm 18 after escaping from the clutches of Saul. The Lord had years earlier anointed the sweet psalmist of Israel to be Israel’s future king (1 Samuel 16). Yet David endures many assassination attempts against his life from Saul. Agur concurs with the sentiments of David: “Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him” (Proverbs 30:5). God stretches David’s faith, and the king in waiting exalts his Lord. He says, “You have delivered me from the violent man. Therefore I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the Gentiles, and sing praises to Your name” (Psalm 18:48-49).
Employment Point: Trust God to experience His perfect way, proven Word, and marvelous protection.
