Day 6: His most prized creation
On the sixth and final day of creation, God made humans. He created the heavens and the earth and brought to life all the animals and plants. And then He made us. Through Adam, and then Eve, God created humanity out of the dust and with His breath. And at completion, He looked at His creation and said that it was ‘very good’ and then He rested. His work was done, and it ended with His masterpiece, us.
As the almighty creator, all of God’s creations are birthed with tenderness and care. But none are as prized and loved us we are. It is His breath in our lungs. Regardless of how you were conceived, you are not a mistake; you are a prized and loved creation that was tenderly knitted together with love, care, and intention (Psalm 139:13). God sees you, knows you, loves you, and desires an intimate relationship with you.
The world will tell us many things about who we are. We will be labelled because of our personality or beliefs or appearance. But the only One who can tell us who we are is God, and He said we were ‘very good.' God still looks at you and thinks you are very good. His heart is still for you. His ear is still inclined to you, and He is still with you. May you experience His delight in you today.

About this Plan

The Creation story is an incredible account of God speaking everything into existence. We can look at the oceans or the animals and take them at face value, or we can take joy in the invitations behind them – to drink of the Water that will never run dry, or to take heart, we are more valued than the birds!
