Mark - Living in the WordSample

VERSE OF THE DAY:
And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”
- Mark 1:11
REFLECTION:
- So many voices compete for our attention.
- So many sources want to tell you who you are.
- So many opinions exist about you, your life, and your purpose.
- Only one voice speaks from Heaven’s throne.
- If the voice you’re hearing is not calling you “beloved,” it’s not God’s voice.
- God says, “You are mine and I love you.”
JOURNAL POINTS:
- Think about the voices you are listening to.
- Who do they say you are?
- Do they bring out the best in you?
- We will become like the ones we most listen to.
- Consider the SOURCE.

About this Plan

The Gospel of Mark is considered by some to be the most important of the “synoptic” gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), mainly because it was the earliest written. With brevity and urgency, John Mark describes the birth, life, work and teachings of Jesus Christ. Highlighted with action and vivid storytelling, this Gospel underscores the transformative power of faith and encourages us to remain steadfast in our commitment to Christ.
