Day 5: You are enjoyed!
God gave you a family for so many wonderful reasons. One of those is to have people that love you no matter what!
Another wonderful benefit is to have people who really enjoy you and who you can enjoy. But did you know that God enjoys you, too?
The Bible says He delights in you (Zephaniah 3:17). It also says we are to delight in Him (Psalm 37:4).
Some other words for delight are: to be very pleased, ecstatic, or thrilled!
Imagine that! God is thrilled by you! In the same way your parents find such joy in having you in their life, God is thrilled you have allowed Him into your life!
Activity: Talk to your family about the things you really enjoy about them. Ask them to do the same about you. Ask them if they know that God finds delight in them no matter what!
Prayer: Jesus, it amazes me that you find delight in me. I’m so glad I don’t have to do anything to get you to feel this way about me. I’m also so thankful to know I can’t do anything to make you stop loving me. I want to know you more and more. You have my heart!
