Day 1: You have been loved since before you could even love.
Did you know that your parents have loved you from the moment they met you? You didn’t have to do anything to get them to love you; they just did! The truth is, you melted their heart.
Your parents didn’t wait to love you until you could love them back.
The Bible tells us how God did the same thing. He loved you before you loved Him (1 John 4:19).
Love that doesn’t require you to do anything is called unconditional love. This means there are no “conditions or requirements” to receiving and keeping that love. It’s a never-ending love!
The beautiful thing is, that God has put this same unconditional love in your parents’ hearts for you. And, even though we, as humans, love through our weaknesses, God never falls short. He is perfect, and His love for you is perfect. You simply melt His heart!
Activity: Ask your parents about the day they learned you were coming into their lives.
Prayer: God, I want to know more about your unconditional love for me.
