King & KingdomsSample

Both Rehoboam and Jeroboam found security outside of God. Whether it was brute force, or strong walls, or wealth, or connections, or cleverness, or luck, they both looked all over for security. And yet, in the end, for both Rehoboam and Jeroboam, no matter how great their security measures, they couldn't out-maneuver God.
We so often do the same thing. We create as many plans, backup plans, safety nets, and good strategies as possible. And yet, at the end of the day, life has a way of still overwhelming us. When that happens, we have this incredible opportunity to reorient: moving our security from ourselves and over to God.
Think it Over: Where do you tend to find your security? What weaknesses are there in it?
