Ruins to RestorationSample

PRAYER:
PRAY THAT GOD WOULD HELP YOU FIND YOUR IDENTITY IN JESUS INSTEAD OF
WHAT OTHERS MAY THINK OR SAY ABOUT YOU.
DEVOTIONAL:
In our reading today, we see Nehemiah facing false accusations and rumors from his enemies
who sought to discredit him and hinder the work of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. Despite
the attacks on his character, Nehemiah remained steadfast in his faith and refused to be distracted
from his purpose. Instead of retaliating toward his enemies, Nehemiah turned to God in prayer
and continued to trust in His plan.
As Christians, when faced with false rumors and accusations, we can take a cue from Nehemiah's
response. Rather than feeling discouraged or seeking revenge, we should remain rooted in our
faith and seek God's guidance and protection. We are called to respond with grace and
forgiveness, knowing that God sees the truth. Let us remember that our identity is found in
Christ, not in the opinions of others, and trust in Him to overcome any falsehoods that may come
our way.
Question:
Have you ever put more value in what people think about you instead of what God
thinks about you? How can you avoid doing that again in the future?
About this Plan
