Isaiah Week 1 – Day 2
King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes, “There is nothing new under the sun,” and that fact is painfully obvious when we read Isaiah. Chapters 2 and 3 describe an ugly world of sin and selfishness nearly 3,000 years ago, but these chapters could just as easily describe our world today.
But we can thank God for what comes next. Chapter 4 describes God’s plan for renewal and protection. After the exile of Israel, God brought His people back to Jerusalem and protected them from their enemies once again. Likewise, God wants to give us His wholeness, healing, and protection from the enemy. If you feel overwhelmed by the ugliness and craziness in our world, lean into the Father.
