The Gospel of MarkSample

Chapter 11 ends with the Pharisees challenging the authority of Jesus. There is no surprise here as we continually see in the gospels the condition of the religious leaders' hearts. They question Jesus’ authority in cleansing the temple. Jesus responds to them with a question which ultimately reveals their motives. Their priority is maintaining religious power. As we end this week take time to reflect on what you have read.
