The Gospel of MarkSample

The fig tree comes up again later in the chapter and Jesus teaches an important lesson on prayer, faith, and forgiveness. Jesus responds to the disciples by saying we are to have faith in God. When we pray we can pray boldly, believing that God hears our prayers. We must pray in accordance to His will while also having faith in God and God alone. In verse 25 Jesus tells us that whenever we pray we must do so with forgiving hearts. Reflect on areas in your heart that the Lord needs to heal and ask the Holy Spirit to help you forgive those who have hurt you. Journal about what the Lord reveals to you.
