The Gospel of MarkSample

When the religious leaders questioned Jesus about Him forgiving the paralytic’s sins, He knew their thoughts (v. 8) and he addresses the leaders with a question regarding which is easier, forgiving sins or healing? After Jesus forgives the man, He tells him to get up and go home and the man was healed. Jesus is proclaiming He is God and is taking here a decisive step towards the cross by proclaiming to heal sickness AND forgive sins. He is signaling His power to do both.
How does Jesus' healing of the paralyzed man illustrate the relationship between physical and spiritual healing, and what does it reveal about Jesus' authority?
