Playbook: The Game Plan for Navigating TemptationSample

Wouldn’t it be great if we only had to ask for help with the things we struggle with once in our lives? If we just could magically have it all figured out after one question, one mistake, one temptation? Unfortunately, we all know that’s not the way it works. When we’re dealing with a struggle or temptation, we have to ask for help or find guidance to deal with it again, and again, and again. You don’t beat temptation; you constantly have to resist it. And, as the Psalmist reminds us, when we’re looking to God for help and strength to face it, time and time again, we’ll find God there to guide and comfort us, time and time again.
Is there a temptation you’ve been struggling with over and over again? Go to God continually with it this week, asking for God’s help to get you through it every day.
