Lent: The Path of SurrenderSample

Bible Reflection: The cup in Scripture often referred to the wrath of God. Jesus was fully aware that His death would be more than dying and that it would require Him to receive the penalty intended for humanity to fall upon Him. As you reflect upon these passages what strikes you about the humility, courage, and love of Jesus for you?
Prayer: Talk with God about His love for you and all of creation. Ask Him why He chose to create you in His image, to be like Him and reflect Him to others. Thank Him for the lengths He has gone to restore your image-bearing identity.
Daily Surrender: Surrender your sin (often described as a bent inwardness, toward self and away from God). Receive God's unfathomable grace, forgiveness, and love for you, His image-bearer.
