Lent: The Path of SurrenderSample

Welcome to The Path of Surrender. Each week begins with a short video to orient your journey through Lent. Each day, reflect upon the Bible passage, pray, and then surrender to and receive from God.
Today is the First Day of Lent. Around the world, many Christians commemorate Ash Wednesday by having ashes applied to their foreheads in the shape of the cross to symbolize repentance, mortality, and the need for forgiveness.
Bible Reflection: Put yourself at the event in John 8 (be the woman, the crowd, the instigators). How do you experience Jesus? What do you want? What will you do today in light of these passages?
Prayer: Talk to God about these passages. Confess your sins. Thank God for His unfathomable love for you. Pause to listen to Him speak through His word and by His Spirit.
Daily Surrender: Surrender your sin and shame. Receive the unconditional, unending love and forgiveness of Jesus.
