Perspective Shift: Student EditionSample

Have you ever thought, “Man, I just wish I was in heaven already!”? If you have, you’re not alone! Paul here is telling the Philippians that he longs for something better - to be with Christ in heaven. But here’s the thing - he knows that he still has work to do on earth with the churches he’s planted! Imagine if Paul just went to heaven as soon as he got saved. These churches would have never started; we wouldn’t have ⅔ of the New Testament books - we’d be missing so much that he added! It can be easy to wish you were on the other side of eternity, but you’re here because God has a plan for your life that’s greater than you could ever imagine!
- Recite this week's memory verse: "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21, KJV).
- What do you feel like God has created you to do?
- How can you live with your heart set on eternity AND the here & now?
