Living in Freedom

DAY 14 OF 40

Matthew 5:29-30 NLT – So if your eye—even your good eye—causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your hand—even your stronger hand—causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

Freedom comes when we change our environment to change our habits.

What do you think are the most meaningful words or phrases in this passage?

What point is Jesus trying to make by telling you to gouge out your eye or cut off your hand?

What do you need to get rid of, because it causes you to sin?

Affirmation: I will not tolerate anything that threatens God’s plan for my life.
