The Character of a Wise Woman, a 10-Day Plan by Allison DanielsSample

A wise woman identifies the situation first before she pours out her message.
2 Samuel 20:17 - He went toward her, and she asked, "Are you Joab?"
"I am," he answered.
She said, "Listen to what your servant has to say."
"I'm listening," he said.
How interesting that this woman first took time to assess who she was talking to. The information she was delivering was for Joab and no one else. She doesn't blurt out statements to random people or acquaintances out of fear. She doesn't commiserate with other people who are feeling the burden of the conflict.
The wise woman discerns where and when she can pour out. She is not bubbling over, seemingly anxious or nervous. The wise woman is cool, calm, and collected. She is in complete control over her emotions, not giddy or silly. She is a woman on a mission.
If we are going to be women who make an impact in a generation, we must know where, when, and to whom we can pour out our God-given wisdom. You are called to a specific group of people where God is equipping you to pour your life out in word, work, and worship to Him.
When you identify your people, you must give them what God has given you. The wise woman didn't share the message until Joab indicated he was ready to receive it.
The gift of God in you will be frustrated if you try to force yourself into places where people aren't ready to receive from you. Wise women ask God to lead them to the people and places that are ready for the purpose He has placed inside of them.
Reflection: Who is God calling you to impact with His truth and love? Where do you see hearts ready and open to receive?
