At first, the disciples were only sharing the good news with Jewish people, but in Antioch, they began witnessing to people who were not Jewish. Diverse churches like the one in Antioch sprang up.

However, the church in Jerusalem wanted to confirm the reports and sent Barnabas to check things out. Barnabas was thrilled to see God at work among the Antioch people. He went and got Paul to teach alongside him for one year in Antioch. When we team up with others, we can accomplish great things, like Barnabas and Paul did.

● Be honest: Are there people you avoid sharing the gospel with for some reason?

● Spend time in confession. Ask God to soften your heart so you can love them the way He does.

● Pray for increased unity and diversity in our churches so we’ll look more like the church God desires.
