God's Spirit Fills His People
Listen to "God's Spirit Fills His People":
Reflect
What do you think of when you hear the word “church”? How would you describe the essentials of a church to a person unfamiliar with its concept?
This story provides one of the Bible’s clearest teachings on the definition of church. The Bible’s description doesn’t include the things we often consider important, such as the type of building, music, seating and order of service. Instead, we’re told key things that the church should be known for – teaching about Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, the need for repentance and baptism, meeting together, giving and helping one another. What else did the believers do as a church?
● Which of these components do you experience in your own church?
● In which area do you think you and those you fellowship with can grow?
