Sin Enters the World
Listen to "Sin Enters the World":
Reflect
God gave Adam and Eve all they could ever want or need. They lived in paradise. Their relationship with God was unbroken and unstained. They knew both Him and each other without shame. Still, when the snake slithered in and whispered words of doubt and seduction into Eve’s heart, she listened. Maybe God was holding out on her after all.
It was a terrible lie. The whole world still groans under the effects of their disobedience and distrust. And let’s be honest, we’ve all fallen into the same trap and questioned God’s goodness.
● In what aspects of your life do you tend to think that God is holding out on you? Bring your doubts and questions to Him. Ask Him to help you choose to trust that His ways are best.
● Though this story seems to end on a hopeless note, God promised that the serpent’s head would one day be crushed by a descendant of Eve. What does this say about who God is?
Journal
