Adore - the Teen Girl's Guide to AdventSample

We Can't Please God without Faith
The very foundation of Christianity is faith. Without it, we can’t be close to God or know Him.
Joseph and Mary both had enough faith to believe in God’s words. Because they trusted in Him, they were blessed, and the Messiah was able to come into the world to save you and me.
Faith is crucial in the Christmas season. Do you know why? Because Christmas is the celebration of Jesus’s birth! If we don’t have faith that Jesus came to earth as a baby, then we also can’t believe that He died for us or gave us forgiveness.
“Christmas” literally means “Christ’s day.” Due to the faith of the people who came before us, Christmas became the most famous holiday in the entire world – all because those people strongly believed in Jesus’s birth.
Can you imagine Christmas without Jesus? Without Jesus being a part of Christmas, the entire holiday would be shallow, and certainly wouldn’t be what it is today. Jesus’s birth is literally what shaped Christmas! It is a special celebration of the birth of a very special baby.
This holiday season, keep the faith as you prepare for Christmas. Remember that you are celebrating the most awesome person ever born: Jesus Christ!
