REFLECT + FOCUS

Reaching out to help others is one of the best things you can do to help yourself.

Taking your eyes off yourself - asking God - “who can I serve today?” and just simply living selflessly to see others blessed and succeed - this is the core of the gospel message.

“For God so loved the world that He gave… ”
John 3:16 NIV

Giving and serving selflessly is at the very centre of God’s character. And as people made in His image, we find the most fulfillment, satisfaction and purpose in life when we live for others.

Jesus said:

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Luke 6:38 NIV

This is not just a principle regarding finances, but everything in life.

“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.”
Matthew 19:29 NIV

As we give of our time, money, effort - God joyfully gives back to us much more - one hundred times more! - both now and into eternity.

As you declare today’s shout, ask God how you can give of your time, money and effort. Ask Him to guide you to needy people to be a vessel of His love and kindness to others.
