When Jesus took the scroll, everyone around him immediately began to worship and celebrate. The twenty four elders gathered around sang a song of redemption, praising Jesus for the work that He did on the cross and the result of that sacrifice - that we can become kings and priests serving our God. Then countless angels join in around them, worshiping Jesus and recognizing His worthiness because of the redemption He offers.
Then last but not least, all of creation joins in with them. Every creature, all of creation, singing out and worshiping Jesus forever and ever. What a beautiful picture that we get to look forward to one day!

The apocalypse ("uncovering" in Greek) that John receives reveals the nature of the world as it is and will one day be. Amidst all of the cosmic imagery is a Lamb and its army who conquer through the power of sacrificial love.
