Over the TopSample

For extreme athletes and stunt artists, the ability to focus on critical skills at the right moment is the thing that separates good ones from great ones. Being unable to drown out the noise in pivotal moments may be the difference between life and death. They could have all the ability and talent in the world, but none of that skill matters if they don't put it into practice when it matters most.
It's no secret that caring for others is one of the most important parts of following Jesus. This is why Paul encourages the church in Corinth to look at each moment in a day as an opportunity to care for the people in their lives. As they do this, it will make them feel better about themselves, and people will see the love they are pouring out and give thanks to God.
As you focus on what matters and follow through on caring for others, it actually encourages people to follow Jesus. How cool is that?
This will take effort on your part. It may mean praying when you get distracted or thinking about your week in advance to look for opportunities to care for others. It could be as simple as bailing on a few bad habits that stop you from loving others well.
Whatever it is, caring for others like Jesus cared for you is central to following Jesus.

About this Plan

Have you ever seen an action movie where the stunts became more and more outrageous? Each stunt gets more extreme as the movie continues to push the limits of what to expect. What if that same mindset inspired us to live differently in our lives? What if we looked to God for ways to be extreme and do the unexpected in places like generosity?
