Daniel - Standing FirmSample

Standing firm means we don’t give up. Jesus went on to tell a story about a widow and a judge. The judge didn’t care about God or people and when the widow came to him for help, he refused. She came back day after day pleading with him, even though he kept refusing to help her. She didn’t give up. Eventually the judge helped her because she was so persistent. Jesus told his disciples that this is like prayer. We should not give up! Daniel didn’t give up praying even when it could get him in trouble. He stood firm. When we never give up praying and reading God’s Word, it builds a firm foundation that we can stand firm on. When we stand firm on God’s Word and prayer we won’t be moved when challenges come. We won’t be moved by other people’s opinions. We won’t be moved by fear our doubt. Stand firm and don’t give up!
