The Promised Spirit
Have you ever heard someone say, “God is with you all the time”? What does that really mean?
We can say that God is always with us because, when we decide to follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit takes up residence inside of us! The Bible even says, the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you. That’s amazing, right?
But it wasn’t always this way. This indwelling of the Spirit is a result of Jesus’ death and resurrection. It’s Jesus’ way of being with us always.
When Jesus foretold His death, His disciples didn’t want Him to go. But Jesus said to them: “…it’s to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.”
That’s the Holy Spirit. God is so good!
Always remember, there is hope with God.
