It Is Finished!Sample

It is Finished!
As Jesus hung on the cross with, his last breath, “...he said, “It is finished!”
What did He mean?
What was finished that day was more than just the execution of an innocent man. It was the end of the separation between God and humanity. It was the victory of the power of God over the power of death. It was the end of the adversary’s ability to keep us enslaved to sin and darkness. And it was the gift of Jesus Himself—His grace offered—His forgiveness made available for all of mankind. He had accomplished His purpose, and He declared it—it is finished!
You can declare it, too!
When words of accusation fill your head, telling you you’re unlovable, or when temptation comes nagging at the edges of your mind…remember the freedom Christ purchased for you. And claim what Jesus said when He died on the cross for you—it is finished!
