Have you ever won something before? It’s a good feeling, isn’t it? Many of us try to win everything; whether it’s beating our family in board games, or rival schools in sports or band competitions, we all like winning. But what if I told you that helping someone else win can be just as meaningful and important as winning yourself? For some of us, that’s a wild idea, right?

In this passage from the book of Hebrews, the author makes it a point to show us how we’re supposed to support one another. One of the most important ways to support others is by building them up and encouraging them. We can encourage others as they aim to do good things with their lives. This idea is so important because it shows us that even though winning or getting ahead in life might be important to us, we are called to motivate and support other people to help them thrive in life as well.
