Fluent: Part 19Sample

The author of Hebrews explores the biblical theme of rest. The concept of the Sabbath begins on page one of the Bible when God rests on the seventh day after ordering all of creation. This introduces repeated patterns of seven that point forward to the idea of God and humans resting together as partners. In this video, we explore the theme of the seventh-day rest in the biblical concept of the Sabbath. We also look at why Jesus adopted this idea as a major part of his own mission to bring God’s kingdom to earth.
