If you’ve been around any sport, I’m sure that you’ve heard the phrase, “There’s no ‘I’ in team.” Coaches will use this saying anytime they feel like the team needs to start to work together instead of an individual doing their best to shine. And this is just as true in our lives as it may be in a championship game. When the focus is only on ourselves, we may be missing the true point of what God calls us to do. We miss what the “win” really could and should be. As Christians, our life goal isn’t to elevate ourselves but instead, to work together to build and better the Kingdom here on Earth. God isn’t looking for individual superstars. Instead, He has gifted us with a community—a design where working together gets us to where we truly want to be in life.
Take a minute to think about the people who surround you in your life. What would it look like to put these individuals first throughout the day? Spend some time in prayer today asking God to not only show you people in your life that you can elevate, but also ask Him to provide opportunities where you can put others before yourself.

About this Plan

An influencer has the ability to change our minds or make us try something new. And while we may think of an influencer as someone with millions of followers, the reality is we don’t need a big audience to be an influencer. In fact, God calls each one of us to be an influencer for good. In this devotional, we’ll see all the ways God has used people—even the unexpected people—to have an amazing influence on others.
