Plot TwistSample

Spoiler alert: other people will fail us. We learn this very young as we hit the playground or go from sharing friendship bracelets to calling each other names. As we get older, we face disappointment because our expectations of people don't always match their ability to be there for us. Sometimes, the people we trust just can't measure up and fulfill our desires.
The good news about Jesus is that he never turns away from us. In the Bible, scripture says not to be afraid because Jesus is always there for us. When we learn Jesus won't turn away from us, we can help others realize it by modeling Jesus' love to them. By putting our hope in Jesus, we can be secure.
What's something you can do today to show someone Jesus won’t turn his back on them?

About this Plan

Whether it’s your favorite movie, book, or reality show, you know there's nothing like a good plot twist! A plot twist can make us rethink everything we thought we knew about the story. In this 30-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, designed for Lent we’ll focus on how Jesus experienced “life-plot twists” and how he is with us when we go through unexpected moments in our life.
