NEW YEAR NEW HEART
In the verses we read today we can see that our God is a God of new beginnings and fresh starts. However, God always begins His new work in the world within the hearts of His people. This year we have an invitation to give our whole hearts over to the purposes and plans of God so that He can work through us to accomplish His great rescue plan for our world. Can I encourage you to allow God to remove the calluses that may have built up over the struggle of the last few years and allow a fresh excitant to rise up within your heart about your future, on mission, with Jesus?
Prayer: Jesus, I want to surrender my whole heart to you this year. I am sorry that I have allowed the seasons of my past to build up calluses in my heart. Please come today and remove anything from me that is not of you. I trust you, and I am 'all in' and 'all heart' with you this year.
