Waiting with Patience Often, we go through life with much impatience. We have no time to wait for anything. We pray for certain issues and petition for certain things. If we don’t see visible answers for a while, we stop praying for them.When we pray for breakthroughs, we seem not to have patience beyond a point. At that point, we tell God exactly how and when it should be done. Instead of waiting for God’s response to our prayers, we get impatient and direct God to what should be done regarding our circumstances. Matthew 6:25-33 clearly teaches us not to worry about anything. God’s Word is true! If we just have a little patience, we will see breakthroughs in every situation in our lives. When we pray, we need also to wait, and have faith. Only then can we let God do the miracle we have been waiting for. By worrying, we do not achieve anything or progress anywhere. Worrying actually weighs us down; we get depressed and lifeless. But here’s the good news, my friends. When we believe that in Christ we have all that we can ask for, we need not worry. In due season, we will reap the harvest if we wait patiently on the Lord. I know this because, in my walk with the Lord, He has never left me alone. At times, I have seen prayers answered immediately, and at other times the Lord has taught me to wait and seek His face. In due course of time, I have reaped the harvest of my faith. Prayer Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for teaching me new things. Help me dear Lord to wait upon You. And in due season, I will receive what I pray for. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
